Abstract

|
Acardius is specific of multiple gestations and circulation of blood is only by virtu of communication with the vessels supplying the normal fetus. Acardia shows various other defects in addiction to the absence of heart. The most common form is
the
acardius acephalus, in which there is an absence of the fetal head and thoracic organs. Recently authors diagnosed this congenital anomaly using ultrasonography during antenatal period, so we present this case with a brief review of the
literature.
